Senior DevOps Engineer

Due to increasing workloads, Spinning Fox is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our existing team of designers and full-stack developers.

Spinning Fox was founded by James Lyne and Tim Aikin. We're a company that lives and breathes design and technology, and we use that passion to build engaging digital experiences to solve business problems.

We are a startup that sits alongside its sister company Helical Levity. HL is led by world-renowned cybersecurity expert James Lyne. Together, Spinning Fox and Helical Levity provide clients engaging digital experiences.

We're made up of innovators, design thinkers and experts in programming and security, but more than that we're passionate about using that expertise to solve complex challenges, design engaging digital experiences and build amazing applications that make a real difference to the businesses we work with.

The opportunity is to be part of a growing team that will be building a container-based platform as a service. This will be initially used as part of one of our biggest projects but will in turn become a standalone off the shelf service.

We're looking for someone who is insatiably curious and is passionate about perfecting their skills, as well as learning new ones. You are someone who will speak up; get involved in debates and lead from the front as an expert in your field. You will also be happy speaking to clients and confident in gathering technical requirements and making recommendations.

As a small company, we need flexible team members. You could find yourself delivering a smaller project yourself or working in a small cross-discipline team where you would be leading the decisions on tech from the languages used to the deployment infrastructure whilst still getting your hands dirty in code.

Much of the team work remotely and are based in the UK and Canada but we do have an office in Charlbury, Oxfordshire, UK. There is the option to work in either environment but having space to work remotely, and use tools such as Zoom, Slack and other tools to communicate is essential.
